Tough start to the season for the Bears who are desperately low on troops. With no hooker, half or five-eighth available this week as well as only one fit winger, Fairy has surprisingly asked recruitment officer Terry Wickey to find him a good young front rower. The coach has the full support of the board, and to a man we pray he knows what he's doing.
Josh McGuire has agreed to move to the mountains and will receive $200k for the remainder of the season - exactly twice what I expected to pay when I started typing this post..."good young front rower" my arse, he's a test veteran, apparently!
Finally, we have no official statement to make at this time regarding the rumours that Mr. Wickey will repeat his heroics of 2008(?) and pull on the red & black number 7 to steer the boys around the park this weekend. You didn't hear it here first.
