Is an interesting one Stumpy .. I initially had the feeling he was, but went looking and found nothing - everything said nil - hence my original bid

In the end and still not being sure - after playing SOO U20s for QLD last year, I looked up the Tongan team where it mentioned a Sione Folau had been named (maybe Sione is Tongan for John).. but no John Folau - and with no site saying he had played international league - went along as he was a rookie

Been looking again this morning and found one site that said he had played 1 game for Tonga - but no other details...

Now a mute point as he's being paid as an international - and good luck to the Stopouts unless there's another bid

Surely you could have pushed him further, that's only 60k over minimum....it is still $200k for an international, right?

Unless someoneone else gets an interest - JF will find himself in Stopouts Colours...

An apology there to DBT - will fall to your superior records... The ones I had at hand only went back to 2008 and I know I picked him up in a couple of comps prior to him making his first grade debut in 2007 - mustn't have been the GC as it turned out

Just to correct the Aardvarks

Israel Folau (Bluetongue player #66) started with the Bluetongues in 2007 making 2007 appearances in his inaugural season.

He was then 'poached' by the Aardvarks in 2008, before returning to the Bluetongues in 2009 and 2010. He has ('thus far )made a total of 60 appearances for the Bluetongues which is 9th on the all time Bluetongue appearance table.

Stopouts counter offer 100,000k for John Folau's services.

Big brother Izzy started his career with the Aardvarks and his development in our system made him what he is today - although being poached in 2009 by our arch rivals from the Brindabellas is still a sore point.

We think young John would like the same mentoring and development and reckon the advice from big brother would be the same
