Bears trade

I thought the rules were clear !!!
As per the rules - it states -;
No trading allowed until you are a financial member. In-season bidding starts in the week after NRL Round 2, and finishes after the round that takes place immediately after the third State of Origin (so, after Round 18)
In-Season bidding isn't cutting or trading - that means actually bidding on a player - which means no players can be bid for after Round-18 ...... so it specifically says that - not like other comps where you can leave a gap in your squad
So we request the Committee to adhere to the rules as stated please......

Common sense prevails
Wow! Mark this date in the diary. Arguably the first time in GC history that the Committee opted not to butt heads with us. Your wisdom is boundless

Bears trade
History as I recall it:
Possibly the second year of the GC, one or more teams exploited what appeared to be a loophole by not filling their squad pre-season and then buying players earlier than round 4. The Committee didn't change this rule and by accepting the practice suggested it was never actually a loophole. The Bears would now suggest that we should similarly be able to leave a spot empty in our roster beyond round 18 and then be able to contract a player deeper into the season if we then decide to.
Acting under this assumption, we wish to terminate the contract of Corey Norman effective immediately.
If this action is somehow considered outside the rules, then our second, less-preferred option would be to cut Mr. Norman and offer Mr Taumata of Townsville 200k to see out the season in the mountains.
We await your deity-like proclamation
