Based on my understanding of the new rule 
- your're a tad late Mr. Gullman and the committee will be rejecting your bid for Jamie 
I think this is the part of the rule that needs slightly modifying
The deadline for placing a bid needs to be extended past the 2pm deadline on a Wednesday - I think this bit makes it too restrictive... If the bidding process has not completed by the kickoff - well the player can't be named for that round - but the finalising of the bidding could be completed after that point.
I would like to see bidding continue through to midday Friday when bids can be placed - still following the 48 hrs before they can be finalised.... By that point, most, if not all the bids will have been completed and all the new unearthed stars would have already been signed up....
My thoughts anyway....
