Re: Crushers Trade
Contract registered to Crushers for 100k
As for the revised bid by Trusters, as the rules say, and similar to not paying sufficient to cover a rep player as per the below quote....
.".....you will often hear from someone that that is the case, and you CAN REVISE YOUR BID ON THAT PLAYER (same as if you make a higher bid if you are outbid), but obviously within the timeframes of the trade window."
In this case a revised bid was placed based on knowledge provided to the Trusters and the revision was put in, during the allowable transfer window.
This is different to withdrawing a bid altogether on a player on which you placed the initial bid, as that player is now deemed in the middle of negotiatons - and would perhaps appear to be off the shelf for some potential suitors (which, I think, is what you were referring to Steve).
In other words if the Truesters initiated this bid, and no one else placed a counter bid...then they'd be stuffed, but in this case they were placing counter bids to an original bid placed by the Crushers

Re: Crushers Trade
Yeah, not sure how you'll go with that. The GC rules have always stated you can't withdraw a bid, but a bid will become void if it takes you over the salary cap. I know I would have loved to have been able to withdraw mine two weeks ago as I was locked in past the 10pm Thursday deadline on a trade offer I knew I would never win, but rules is rules.....
If I were you I'd be looking at giving the boys the weekend off
